We are absolutely delighted to reveal that partypoker has been crowned the Poker Operator of the year at the recent EGR Operator Awards 2019, the third consecutive year we have walked away with this prestigious title.

The EGR Operator Awards run each year with 31 categories being voted for by an independent panel of industry experts. These experts descended on Grosvenor House in London last week and revealed their votes.

For the third year running, partypoker was awarded the title of Poker Operator of the Year, something that would not have been possible without your feedback. We are striving to give you, the players, the online poker site they deserve and one that is shaped by poker players.

Rob Yong was delighted with the award and was full of praise for Tom Waters and his team.

“Tom Waters and his team work 24-7. I think Stars won it for 10 years before that, so I guess this is some recognition for trying to do things the right way. Let’s hope this translates into continued growth which will mean competition in the online poker space, which is a win for players.”

Judges stated, “reporting any growth in poker would be impressive in a market where the dominant market leader is reporting high single-digit declines. But reporting well over 20% growth suggests a highly successful focus on player protection and tournaments.”

Changes to our policies on tracking software and HUDs, improved tournament schedules and structures, and the relaunch of tournament dollars all stemmed from your feedback. So everyone at partypoker thanks you for your contributions this past year because this award would not have been possible without your incredible support.

GVC Holdings wins Operator of the Year

It was a great night for our parent company GVC Holdings who retained the Operator of the Year title, beating out nine rivals to the victory. Judges were particularly happy with GVC’s remarkable top line momentum despite distractions from the Ladbrokes Coral integration.

Thank you once again and here’s to partypoker winning a fourth consecutive title when the awards next take place in 2020.
